We congratulate one of our very own - acclaimed dancer and choreographer Madhu Nataraj on being conferred the 'Karnataka Kalashree' award by the Karnataka Sangeeta Nritya Academy, for 2020-21.
Gifted with a natural talent and honed by her Guru and Mother, the late Maya Rao, Madhu Natraj's oeuvre moves with fluid ease from classical Kathak to contemporary dance that she has evolved after studying at the Martha Graham School of Contemporary Dance in New York.
Madhu Nataraj was curator of the dance segment for the inaugural edition as well as the second edition of the Under The Raintree women's cultural festival, and an indispensable advisor to the festival team.
